Geraille National Park
Geralle National Park , also called Gerale is home for a significant wildlife species located in the Liben zone of the Somali region of Ethiopia, between Dawa River in the north and east of Somali Region- Ethiopia and south Kenya.
The Dawa River plays vital role to water wildlife, birds and the arid landscape of the park.
The Park has an area of 1734 km2 and the altitude ranges from 800 to 1380 meters above sea level.
This Park consists of four major vegetation types: grassland, savanna land, bush land, and mountainous rocky areas with sparse vegetation.
As of 2023 AD, about 36 mammal species and 183 bird species have been recorded in the park. About 25 percent of the countries endemic birds are inhibited in the area. That is why it is known as “great birdlife site”.
Geraille National Park is well protected by local community and is so peaceful even ranger carrying no machine guns during visit and exploration with any visitor.
Wildlife: Elephant, Gerenuk, Greater and Lesser Kudu, Beisa Oryx, Grant Gazelle, Dik- Dik and more.
Birds: White-tailed Swallow, White-winged Dove, Juba Weaver, Black-fronted francolin.

When to Visit - June – October
From June to October, as the region experiences minimal rainfall during these months, wildlife congregates around the remaining water sources, creating amazing scenes of animal interactions.
The majestic African Elephant seeable on the plains spot the Gerenuk, gracefully grazing on the arid grasslands.
The dry season is also very important for bird lovers, as many bird species are in their breeding nests, displaying vibrant colors and engaging in captivating courtship rituals so one can capture these extraordinary moments on your camera and create memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Vegetation
The predominant vegetation type is Acacia-Commiphora Woodland Ecosystem.

Addis Ababa - Yabello - Liben zone - Geraille National Park. It is possible to visit the Park with other parks such as Mago National Park and others.

Possibly at Yabello, 120 kilometers drive to Moyale Town and Camping at anywhere within the park.
