Abay Gorge ( also known as Abay Bereha), Blue Nile Gorge is situated 225 kms north of Addis Ababa. The majestic and enormous gorge is the most captivating in Africa. It has a magnificent, alluring physical feature and natural beauty. At the bottom of the gorge the bridge spans over the Abay (the Blue Nile). the High way from Addis to Gojam distirct is always under maintenance due to a Continue crack of the Gorge. It is best to see it when visiting north Ethiopia such as Bahir Dar, Gondar, Lalibela, Axum and Simien Mountains National Park
